Welcome!

My name is Teimour Hosseinalizadeh. I’m a Ph.D. student at University of Groningen, the Netherlands. For now, I’m working on privacy issues in Cyber-Physical System. I’m based in Smart Manufacturing System group, and my main supervisor is Nima Monshizadeh.

Updates!

Conference participation, March 2024: I have presented our recent pre-print at 43RD BENELUX MEETING ON SYSTEMS AND CONTROL, held in Blankenberge, Belgium.

Preprint released, January 2024: Check out our recent preprint “Privacy Analysis ofAffine Transformations in Cloud-based MPC: Vulnerability to Side-knowledge”. Here we analyze transformations as privacy preserving techniques for Cloud-based quadratic optimizations. Many thanks to the co-authors! The code for the preprint is available here

Research Visit, October 2023: I had the pleasure to spend 5 weeks with the Control and Cyberphysical systems group at TU Dortmund, a vibrant and productive center to study privacy in optimization problems. I would like to thank the chair of the group Moritz Schulze Darup for having me as their guest. Many thanks also to the group members Nils, Philip, Janis, and Johannes for heating scientific discussion. I also want to thank my supervisor, Nima Monshizadeh, at the University of Groningen for his support. I hope the cooperation leads to useful results in the near future.

Conference participation, July 2023: I presented our recent results on privacy preserving methods at IFAC world congress held in Yokohama, Japan. Check out the details of the paper! Or watch the recorded presentation!

Prize winning, March 2023: It’s my pleasure to share that I have received IFAC world congress 2023 D&I Travel Support prize. Many thanks to IFAC organizers!

Conference participation, March 2023: I’m happy to share that I gave a presentation of our recent work at 42ND BENELUX MEETING ON SYSTEMS AND CONTROL, held in Elspeet, the Netherlands.

Paper acceptance, March 2023: Our paper “Gaussian Mechanism Design for Prescribed Privacy Sets in Data Releasing Systems” was accepted for IFAC WC 2023 to be held in Yokohama, Japan.

Student supervision, January 2023: My bachelor student “Joran Kuijvenhoven” has successfully presented his bachelor project titled “Privacy preservation for chemical reactors: a suboptimal method based on Gaussian noise”. Congratulation Joran!
